Our Story

Smitten Kitten is an independently owned Lingerie Boutique that originated in a Melbourne alleyway in March 2003. The French-inspired boutique developed a following for its local and imported lingerie, hosiery, perfumes and silk essentials.

The popular alleycats later moved uptown to Melbourne’s vibrant laneway, Degraves Street, which they called home for the next eight years. In March 2011, Smitten Kitten moved solely online when the owner made the move back to New Zealand with her husband, to be closer to the extended family.

The owner is now a mother of three and is quietly working on Smitten Kitten’s very own collection of products to complement the existing ranges, which will be launched soon. Stay tuned.

Smitten Kitten continues to sell labels that are quintessential to boutique lingerie. A small selection has been carefully handpicked, with the notion of offering a collection that’s a little off the beaten track.

Special occasion intimates are at the heart of Smitten Kitten, with the use of luxury fabrics and trims made from silk, cotton, delicate lace and tulles; perfect for occasions such as weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries and weekends away. There’s also a good measure of comfortable everyday essentials, that are a style note above the rest.
